Lake District Conservatory Lounge
The conservatory has the best view of our lounges, facing South over the Eden valley and Lake District fells. We see some spectacular sunsets whilst serving pre-dinner drinks.
Appleby Manor is a home from home, and as such has good books, magazines and newspapers to read, and we'll happily serve afternoon teas, hot and cold drinks and light snacks whilst you put your feet up and relax. Our other lounge has open fires, comfy sofas, and plenty of board games or tourist information to plan your day.
The lounges and conservatory are where we serve pre-dinner drinks and our guests look over the menus for the evening. Our style of service is relaxed, friendly, unpretentious and "unstuffy" which makes a refreshing change from many a country house with a more formal and starchy atmosphere. Service is still highly professional, and the quality of food means we have been awarded a prestigious one rosettes by the AA.
There is access to the terrace through the Conservatory to enjoy those balmy summer nights with your favourite tipple and stunning views over the Eden Valley and Lake District Fells.
