In the evening, you can choose from the wide range of imaginative and mouth-watering individually priced dishes on the menu in this 1 rosette (AA) restaurant . The freshest ingredients are used, carefully selected from local suppliers wherever possible, and your chef takes a real pride in her work, catering for all tastes including plenty of choice for vegetarians. The Oak Room Restaurant is renowned for its high quality cooking, and you can be sure the skilled and dedicated kitchen team will offer plenty to tempt your taste buds, making your meals here truly memorable.

December 2004 saw the completion of a new conservatory extension to the restaurant, adding a further 40 seats. Hotel guests can enjoy the charming views over Appleby castle and the beautiful Eden Valley, in the hotel's idyllic setting, nestled amid the hill's of the Pennines and overlooked by the Cumbrian - Lake District fells. There could be no better place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner than in this 1 AA rosette award-winning restaurant.

Furthermore a new patio area will be created in front of the restaurant to be completed in the spring of 2005. Guests will be able to enjoy drinks; afternoon tea or light snacks throughout the day.
